Sold Out LENA Start! in Punjabi at the Genesis Centre

April 22 – June 24, 2026 (Wednesdays); 10:00am – 12:00pm

Calling all Punjabi-speaking parents and caregivers of children aged 2 months – 32 months! LENA Start classes can help make a difference in your baby’s life just through early talk and interaction!

*This class is in-person, in an Adult-Only classroom setting, at The Genesis Centre.

Limited childcare, will be available for children 0-5 years old. Please use natural supports if they are available to you. 

Join our facilitators over the course of 10 weeks to discuss research-based strategies and receive actionable feedback to help increase conversational engagement with children. Using interactive talk – specifically back-and-forth conversation – has been shown to be a key factor in early brain development and the building of relationships.

This program focuses on how parents and caregivers can increase talk with their children through exploring topics such as: talking about food, songs and rhymes, math talk, being out and about, and how talk impacts early brain development. Parents even use a “talk pedometer” and receive a report on their weekly progress!

LENA Start families receive 10 free English children’s books!

Please complete registration for an Adult Participant and up to two Childcare Participants (0-5 years). If more than one adult will be participating in the class, please submit a second Adult Participant registration.
