Parenting can be a difficult and ever-changing journey.
There is no manual.
Sometimes it can feel lonely and overwhelming.
Our new Resources Page offers child-based activities and resources, information about our Family Centre programming, as well as information on our Perinatal/Postpartum Mental Health Programs and our Intake Form.
At Families Matter, we believe that not only is asking for help a sign of courage and strength, it is an opportunity to share the wealth of knowledge of building resilient families. We believe that belonging begins with us.
“By engaging with people and reflecting on these experiences, I’ve better understood what belonging means to me. We all want to give our best and be there for others, but we must also honour our own needs. On the days when I can’t bring my best self, I’m grateful for the support of our incredible team and for the reminder that tomorrow always holds new promise.”
Lisa Barton, Executive Director of Families Matter
Whether you are looking for a fun activity to do on a rainy day with your child, or need to switch up your sing-alongs with a new song, our Resources Page is a great starting point.
While we have not perfected a parenting manual yet, Families Matter would like to welcome caregivers and families to our Community of Caring.
You are not alone. You belong at Families Matter and we’re happy you’re here.
