The Successful Young Parents (SYP) program offers in-home visits to young families seeking parenting education and support to understand their child’s developmental stages, increase caregiver capacity, and strengthen social connections in the community.
ABOUT THIS PROGRAM
WHO IS IT FOR?
Our free programming supports any family with at least one parent under the age of 23 residing in Calgary.
Successful Young Parents works with the parents or caregivers as the primary client, to support them in their parenting journey.
WHAT CAN I EXPECT?
- A Home Visitor will provide weekly 1-hour visits to your home or in the community.
- Opportunities to connect with other young families to build relationships and connection.
- The average length of service is 1 year.
HOW TO ACCESS
Self-referral or referral from another agency can be used to gain access to this program. To start the the intake process, please fill out our online Intake Form here.
Once received, an Intake Worker will connect with you via text or email to set up an appointment to complete an intake.

All our supports are available year-round. It is never too late, or too early to ask for help. Once the intake is complete, triage occurs every week where the services that are best suited to your needs will be assessed and you will be contacted when the program is available.
