ABOUT THIS PROGRAM

Fathering for the Future provides the space, opportunity, and support to those who identify as fathers and/or male caregivers.

Through various program components, including one-to-one coaching and group education, fathers can learn skills and truly recognize their important role in their children’s lives.

WHO IS IT FOR?

Our free programming supports those with children between the ages of 0-17 and that live within Calgary.

Those living outside the city limits must be willing and able to receive services in Calgary for in-person supports.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

  • One-to-One Coaching: a Fathering Coach provides weekly 1-hour consultations.
  • Group Education: these in-person learning opportunities take place at one of our Family Resource Centres or partner agency sites and vary in weekly duration. Click here to view our current opportunities.
  • Caregiver and Child programming: Connect, play and sing with your child in a fun, supportive environment – led by a male facilitator at one of our Family Resource Centres.

Feel more positive about being a caregiver after One-to-One Coaching

All our supports are available year-round. It is never too late, or too early to ask for help. Once the intake is complete, triage occurs every week where the services that are best suited to your needs will be assessed and you will be contacted when the program is available.
