Our ideal volunteer commitment is six months with our agency, recognizing that this may vary depending on the specific role, as some positions involve a higher level of activity than others.

Families Matter offers four streams of Peer Volunteer opportunities – perinatal mental health, Black Canadian perinatal mental health, infant respite and Papa Bears. These roles require a one-year commitment to the agency and lived experience relevant to the population that the stream is serving.
