Upcoming LENA Start! at Midpark in Spanish

January 13 – March 10, 2026 (Tuesdays); 2:30pm – 4:00pm

Calling all Spanish-speaking parents and caregivers of children aged 2 months – 32 months! LENA Start classes can help make a difference in your baby’s life just through early talk and interaction!

*This class is in-person, in an Adult-Only classroom setting, at our Midnapore Family Development Centre. Limited childcare for children ages 0 – 5 years is longer available for these sessions, in our Family Play Centre with our childcare team.*

Join our facilitator over the course of 9 weeks to discuss research-based strategies and receive actionable feedback to help increase conversational engagement with children in el lenguaje español. Using interactive talk – specifically back-and-forth conversation – has been shown to be a key factor in early brain development and the building of relationships.

This program focuses on how parents and caregivers can increase talk with their children through exploring topics such as: talking about food, songs and rhymes, math talk, being out and about, and how talk impacts early brain development. Parents even use a “talk pedometer” and receive a report on their weekly progress!

LENA Start families receive 10 free English children’s books!

Please complete registration for an Adult Participant. If more than one adult will be participating in the class, please submit a second Adult Participant registration. If you require childcare, please register for up to two Childcare Participants (0-5 years).
