Upcoming Mindfulness Group (for Youths 8-12 Years)

Mindfulness Group is offered in partnership with CanLearn Society.
This small-group-based program was designed to offer a fun, sensory, and hands-on approach to learning mindfulness and calming skills. Youth participants will explore different strategies and discover how to use them in daily life to manage stress and anxiety.
Activities and topics may include:
- Breathing exercises
- Relaxation techniques
- Stress management
- Sensory stimulation and tools
- Self-regulation
- Managing anxious feelings
Ideal for: ages 8-12 years
Program focus: calming and mindfulness skills for coping with stress and anxiety
Duration: 90 minutes
All sessions are offered in person at our Midnapore Family Development Centre. Registration is limited to 8 Youth Participants.
This is a signed-in, drop-off program and caregivers do not need to remain onsite. It is encouraged to attend the last 15 minutes of the sessions to go over what strategies were discussed.
Consent forms/proof of guardianship will be required to participate.
Please complete registration for one Adult Guardian and up to two Youth Participants (9-12 years).
Registration will close on February 9, 2025.
