Upcoming Promoting Social-Emotional Development and Mental Wellbeing
February 23 – March 16, 2026 (Monday); 6:30pm – 8:30pm
This class gives parents tools & strategies to help their children learn to cope with stress and learn to express their feelings & emotions, promoting social-emotional development & self-regulation in young children.
Learn about stress from a child’s point of view and your own stress response; about coping skills and the positive effect of taking time for self-care.
Part of Kids Have Stress, Too and “Strong Minds, Strong Kids Psychology Canada” and grounded in the science of early brain development & psychological science to nurture resilience in kids so they can manage, learn, and grow from the many challenges in life, this workshop will focus on the development of children in preschool up to grade 6.
This class will be presented in-person at our Horizon Family Development Centre and has limited childcare available for those without natural supports.
Please complete registration for up to one Adult Participant and up to two childcare participants (ages 0-6 years), unless SOLD OUT. Please use natural supports for childcare needs if possible.
Registration will close on February 16, 2026.
