Chef on NSTEP x Families Matter: In-Person YOUTH COOKING CLASS
June 16th – 23rd, 2022 (Thursdays); 4-5:30pm
Families Matter and NSTEP are collaborating to offer a youth cooking class! This program focuses on teaching food literacy in a FUN and INTERACTIVE way.
HEALTHY FOOD TASTES GREAT!
We will be teaching your child:
1. Food preparation skills (Chopping, following recipes & reading labels)
2. Food and kitchen safety (knife safety, sanitary food handling & storage, clean as you go)
3. How to create meals that fuel their minds and bodies (Canada’s Food Guide, vitamins & water intake)
Session 1: Vegetarian Salad Rolls
Session 2: Black Bean Tacos
*This is a parent drop-off program, signed waivers required. Please register one Adult Guardian and a maximum of two Youth Participants.
This program is offered in-person at our Horizon Family Resource Centre, facilitated by D. Cekic.
